2015年に結成された東京を拠点とするブルージーなジャズ／フュージョンの５人編成バンド。

構成は、Kenneth Andrew (vo) Jeff Curry (b) Daisuke Kuroda (g) Kevin McHugh (pf) KimbalBrown (tp)で、

Mark Murphyや Gino Vannelli、Stingなどを彷彿させる情熱的で、スリリングにスイングするジャズ／ポップロックやオリジナル曲をプレーする。

都内を中心にライブ活動を展開し、スタンダードな楽曲をモダンに演奏するスタイルがジャズ愛好家をはじめ、多くのファンを惹きつけている。

卓越したジャズアーティストでありメタルファンでもあったJeffが、ハードロックシンガーでジャズ愛好家でもあったKennethと出会いバンドが誕生。

二人はジャズとプログレッシヴメタルの２つのプロジェクトを共同で率いていて、

それぞれが巧みに影響し合い魅力的なパフォーマンスを生み出すことに成功している。

Kenneth Andrew and the nonconformists are a bluesy, jazz, fusion, quintet based in Tokyo, Japan,

featuring Kenneth Andrew (vo) Jeff Curry (b) Daisuke Kuroda (g) Kevin McHugh (pf) and Kimbal

Brown (tp). The band features passionate, vibrant, hard swinging versions of widely known jazz,

pop, and rock songs and originals that draw inspiration from Mark Murphy, Gino Vannelli, and

Sting. Kenneth Andrew & the nonconformists play regularly in Tokyo where their enjoy a dedicated

fan base of jazz enthusiasts that appreciate their modern take on the classics.

The band was formed in 2015 when Jeff Curry, a prominent jazz artist, and metal fan, met with

Kenneth Andrew, a hard rocking vocalist and long time jazz lover. The two formed an alliance on 2

projects. One Jazz, and one Progressive Metal! The subtlety and fire each genre brings to the

other fuels unique and compelling performance.
